Mobile Messaging allows for interaction between your business and your customers through their mobile phone.
For a customer to use a service then they send an SMS message that starts with the keyword to the 5 digit shortcode.
So, for a competition with keyword QUIZ on 84383 the user would send something like:
PIRI allows you to set up multiple keywords for each campaign.
The tariff for each shortcode is fixed – e.g. 84383 costs £1, 80876 £1.50, etc.
PIRI has a full range of tariffs from 10p up to £5.
When the SMS message reaches PIRI - it looks up all relevant information regarding the campaign using the keyword and shortcode.
PIRI then sends back a message to the user's mobile. The user is charged when they receive this return message. This is known as a billed Mobile Termination (MT).
